WASHINGTON — The Women in Public Service Project (WPSP) at the Wilson Center has launched a new data and resource portal for global women’s leadership. The website, 50x50movement.org, will serve as the premier resource hub in the movement toward global gender parity in policy and political leadership.

The new platform connects stakeholders to the tools they need to drive progress and make substantive change globally. In addition to aggregating key news and research, the website hosts the most comprehensive collection of data around women’s leadership in political and policy spaces. Through this dynamic platform, the WPSP makes crucial sex-disaggregated data transparent and accessible to policymakers, scholars, and the interested public.

“In order to equip societies and institutions to empower women leaders, we must build a strong evidence base,” said Gwen K. Young, Director of the Women in Public Service Project. “We’re thrilled to launch a comprehensive platform as a resource for everyone involved in this monumental task.”

The launch of the resource portal kicks off a series of events and initiatives centered around the data and research on women’s leadership. Through innovative partnerships with institutions, governments, and other actors, the WPSP will continue to build out the data platform and resource collections.
