On Monday, March 20, WPSP Director Gwen K. Young and Director and Chief of Profession at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Governance and Peacebuilding Bureau Patrick Keuleers signed a Memorandum of Understanding launching a data partnership between the two organizations.

The signing coincided with the 61st Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). Before launching the partnership at the UNDP Headquarters, WPSP and the UNDP Gender Equality in Public Administration (GEPA) initiative co-hosted a side event at the United Nations building entitled "Women’s Leadership in Public Administration: The Impact on Sustainable Development and Sustaining Peace."

Through this unique partnership, WPSP and GEPA will collaborate to leverage data on women's leadership in public administration in order to address global barriers to leadership. This data will serve as a key element of the Global Women's Public Leadership Index and Dataset, which utilizes innovative partnerships to build the world's most comprehensive collection of data on women in policy and political leadership.
